What is Rating?
Each member has a Rating. The Rating provides a single view of information to evaluate if this member is a good trading partner.
How does it works?
A member's rating represents our approach in establishing a trust system for our members. This trust system consists of the following components:
- Authentication & Verification
Provides independent checks if a member is legally registered in his country and he is the authorized contact person for his company.
- Bank Information
A document endorsed by bank to verify that a member holds an account with the bank.
- Awards and Certifications
From recognized agencies and bodies to provide credibility and recognition.
- Trust Networks
Who trusted a member.
- Reviews
Written by other members who have transacted with a member.
- Premium Memberships
No. of years a member subscribed to our premium memberships.
In addition, we have
Trust Points® to provide a quantitative measure based on the above factors.
Why is it useful?
You get a better assessment of the member you may want to deal with. Ratings will also affect rankings of product and member listings in our search results and
category pages.
Where can I see a member's rating?
Each member has a profile page and you will be able see his ratings in the profile page. You can do a search for the member profile in Exporters.SG.
Should I rely solely on Ratings to evaluate a member?
Although Rating provides an overview if a member is a good trading partner, it does not guarantee that the member is reliable and trustworthy. It takes time for the Rating to show you the true picture of trust. In addition, it changes over time.
How can I improve my Rating?
To improve
your Rating, you need to work on every element of the Rating:
- Get authenticated
- Submit your bank information
- Submit awards and certifications your business
- Build up your Trust Network
- Get good reviews from your trading partners
- Maintain your premium memberships
Your
Trust Points® will increase as your Rating improves. This helps to build trust for your business.
